Do you want to try cooking a rice salad?

Are you one of the women who work and have very little time to make their food for the other day? well, you should look for easy and quick recipes that help you complement your busy routine and that you can enjoy without making so much effort.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400g of long rice
  • 100g of crab sticks
  • 50g of peas
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • 1 carrot
  • 100g of green olives without bone
  • olive oil
  • Salt

Let’s see the step by step

1.- Cook the rice. For this, in a pot we put water -double amount of rice-. We put in a good pinch of salt and bring it to a boil. Once it boils in a gush, add the rice and let cook for 20 minutes. Until it is “al dente”.

2.- While it is cooking, in another pot with water and a pinch of salt, we also cook the peas. In this case, about 10 minutes, enough time for them to be cooked but firm

3 – Drain the peas and rice and let it cool completely

4.- In a salad bowl, we put these two ingredients, the chopped red pepper, the olives cut in half, the sliced crab sticks and the chopped carrot.

5.- Mix everything well and finally, we water with a little olive oil. That will serve as dressing and will give the final touch.

You can use other ingredients to your taste, to prepare this rice salad, such as cooked ham, corn, crushed tomatoes … These that I have proposed, are very good but imagination to power!
